It seems like every few months Microsoft reveals a new Xbox 360 bundle to try and entice the last few holdouts to buy their console. It throws in a bigger hard drive, includes a new game, or paints it to look like a robot. But it, for whatever reason, none of the previous bundles have convinced you to pull the trigger on a purchase, you’ll have two more options this holiday. Microsoft has announced two new Xbox 360 bundles, each aimed at much different audiences.
(opens in new tab)
The first costs $399 and includes an Xbox 360 with a 250 GB hard drive, a Kinect, three months of Xbox LIVE Gold, and two games: Kinect Adventures and Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do. So, odds are, this isn’t the one you’re going to be interested in. If you’re reading this site, we’re guessing the second is more your speed: an Xbox 360 with a 250 GB hard drive, Fable III, Halo: Reach, and three months of Xbox LIVE Gold for $299.
Both bundles are apparently en route to retailers right now, so you’ll likely be hassled to buy the $299 bundle by the clerk at your local Gamestop when you go to pick up Arkham City. Unless you’re buying Kinect Sports 2 today, in which case they may try and sell you on the $399 Kinect bundle. It does come with Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do, after all.
You can also buy them now from Amazon, where both the Kinect (opens in new tab) and regular (opens in new tab) bundles are already available for those of you who really don’t feel like getting up.
