The new studio is based out of North-West England and headed by Stephen Cakebread, father of Geometry Wars; Ben Ward, Bizarre’s former community manager; and Peter Collier, the senior level designer who worked onThe Club and James Bond 007: Blood Stone. As announced in arecent studio tweet, (opens in new tab)they are supported by a contracted team of “experienced and talented freelancers to help out in a variety of areas.”
Hogrocket is billing itself on itswebsite (opens in new tab)as an indie game developerwith a focus oncreating games for ‘connected platforms’ including mobiles and desktops. Further tweetssay development onthe studio’s first game is already underway, with an official announcement expected in April.
