Former Bizarre Creations devs open new micro-studio, Hogrocket

The new studio is based out of North-West England and headed by Stephen Cakebread, father of Geometry Wars; Ben Ward, Bizarre’s former community manager; and Peter Collier, the senior level designer who worked onThe Club and James Bond 007: Blood Stone. As announced in arecent studio tweet, (opens in new tab)they are supported by a contracted team of “experienced and talented freelancers to help out in a variety of areas.”

Hogrocket is billing itself on itswebsite (opens in new tab)as an indie game developerwith a focus oncreating games for ‘connected platforms’ including mobiles and desktops. Further tweetssay development onthe studio’s first game is already underway, with an official announcement expected in April.

Godspeed, Hogrocket. May you and Lucid Games build a home for all of Bizarre Creations’ lost children (and make great games in the process).
