Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise appears to be getting touchy. Japanese game mag Famitsu recently outed a new iOS edition of the cult monster collecting series called Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting.
The simplified version follows in the same conceptual vein as other Monster Hunter titles, but trades complex multiplayer fighting for one-on-one finger swiping. Players will trade blows with a familiar batch of monsters using straightforward touch controls to attack, defend, or use items. Have a look at the demo video to see the iPhone entry in play:
Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting hits the Japanese App Store next month. There are no plans to release the app anywhere else, but considering the brand’s popularity in the West, we’ll likely hear something official soon.
