The Fallout series firmly established that Easter eggs will survive the apocalypse, from crashed Star Trek shuttle craft to Holy Frag Grenades, and it looks like Fallout 4 (opens in new tab) will continue to carry the basket with pride. Game director Todd Howard told Mingle Media TV at Fallout 4’s Los Angeles launch party that you should expect the egg hunt to be lengthy..
“We want [players] to find them,” Howard said. “And it will take a while. But there’s a ton, really good stuff.”
But even after you explore every nook and mirelurk-infested cave in the Commonwealth, Fallout 4 will have more surprises on the way. Howard said Bethesda plans to “see what people like, what they want more of, what they want different” and use that to shape its DLC and free updates. That’s about as good of a reason as any to not have the actual contents of Fallout 4’s Season Pass (opens in new tab) locked down.
