Dying Light shows the evolution of zombies from 1932 movies to 2016 DLC

If you’ve beheaded one zombie, you’ve beheaded ’em all, right? Not so fast. Dying Light (opens in new tab) developer Techland has put together a snazzy film showing how the flesh-eating, brain-munching baddies of today have evolved over the years. And while the video doesn’t drop names when showing off the ways zombies have changed, I have no doubt you’ll be able to guess where each one is from.

The undead are a hot item at the moment, with shows like iZombie and AMC’s The Walking Dead (and its spin-off, Fear The Walking Dead) on our small screens, movies like Pride & Prejudice & Zombies hitting cinemas, and video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (opens in new tab), multiple Resident Evil remakes (opens in new tab), and yes, Dying Light only adding to the shambling hordes.

Dying Light expansion The Following will presumably give us even more living dead to slay when it shuffles to PS4 and Xbox One on February 9 in the US, February 12 in the UK.
