Plant Explosion Halts Porsche 911 Production

STUTTGART, Germany – Porsche AG says an explosion at a German plant where 911 models are made has halted production of the popular cars for two to three days.

Two workers have been injured in a gas explosion early Monday at the Zuffenhausen factory. It produces 160 of its 911 models a day.

Porsche says gas leaked from a drying oven in the paint shop and ignited. The workers were taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.
