Just because Nintendo won’t try to dazzle fans and media at its own glitzy E3 press conference this year doesn’t mean there’s nothing to show.
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime announced in today’s Nintendo Direct that North American and Canadian gamers can try upcoming games themselves at their friendly neighborhood Best Buy.
“In the past, we’ve focused the E3 hands-on experience on those attending the event,” Fils-Aime said. “But this year, we’re making E3 for the people. And we want to make sure you get the chance to try our games, as well.”
More than 100 Best Buy locations will host demo units for “select unreleased Wii U games” throughout the week of E3, which begins June 11. Fils-Aime said Nintendo will reveal more about which games and locations will be included in the weeks leading up to the event.
Power to the people! Definitely still look at our stuff, though. Please?
