Next car game from FlatOut dev shows spectacular car wrecks

Bugbear Entertainment, the team behind the original FlatOut games and, more recently, Ridge Racer Unbounded (opens in new tab), has announced its ‘Next Car Game’ and shown off a video of in-game footage to prove it. The team announced the project via its official website (opens in new tab) and explained: “We’re making a new car game. This time we’re going back to our roots – just like all of our fans have been asking us to do! If you like what you see above, you’re going to love it. It’s all in-game footage!”

Those roots would be physics-based car wreck mayhem, only with 2013 sheen liberally applied. Observe:

The big question remains: Which platform is this running on? Can Xbox 360 and PS3 do this? Or is this actually Next-Gen Car Game? We’ll bring you more as soon as we have it.
