I think any reporter whose worked in the field can share stories of being scared or feeling uncomfortable about their own personal safety from time to time — or even being shot at — which happened to me at my first TV job in Richmond, Virginia. I was lucky I was not harmed.
But today as we remember Alison Parker and Adam Ward — two young TV employees who lost their lives so senselessly — let’s also think about all the other reporters in the field — who on a daily basis may be facing danger for just doing their jobs.
